Physiotherapy (Only at Norton Lees salon)

Introducing Andrew Okwera, whose Physiotherapy practice has joined us at our Norton Lees clinic from January 2011. Activ Physiotherapy is already a well established physiotherapy clinic based in Totley in the south of Sheffield, where he has worked for the past three years. In this time Activ Physiotherapy has gained a reputation for delivering excellent care and service, with a good ratio of recommended clients travelling from as far as York, Wakefield, Leeds and Barnsley for treatment.

 Andrew has over 10 years experience as a chartered physiotherapist. In this time he has achieved a high level of expertise and maintained a good reputation with the public and fellow professionals alike. He has achieved qualifications in Acupuncture, Spinal Manipulation and recently gained the diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine from the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine. He is currently undertaking a master’s degree in Advanced Physiotherapy.

Andrew has also received recognition for his professionalism by gaining an ‘NHS Award of Excellence’ in the category of ‘Innovation in an area of service delivery’. He is registered with the Health Professions Council, as well as a member of the Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice.  As lead Physiotherapist for the Sheffield Steelers Ice Hockey Team, Andrew maintains a high level of expertise dealing with the challenging field of professional sports. He has also developed good links with respected medical specialists through his 5 years working at the private BMI Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield. 

Andrew shall be providing Physiotherapy on 2-3 days a week at the new clinic with session’s available early morning and late evenings. There is also the option of home visits if people are unable to come to the clinic. Activ Physiotherapy is registered with many major insurance companies including BUPA and Norwich Union. Treatment costs can also be claimed back through the Westfield Health Scheme.
